Let’s say you’re planning an upcoming Disney World trip (which happens to be one of my favorite things to do!). One of the biggest expenses is going to be Disney World tickets. Luckily, you can save money on your Disney tickets by purchasing your tickets in advance. Simply buying your tickets online from Disney will save you $20 compared to what you would pay at the park! You can save even more depending on what you buy and where online you buy it.

We’re going to take a look at four places where you can buy Disney tickets online:

The Disney World website
Undercover Tourist
Park Savers
Expedia

All of these places are safe and reputable, and you can add your tickets to My Disney Experience. (If you buy through Disney, it will be added automatically.)

We’ll be looking at these popular types of Disney tickets:

• Base Ticket – Visit only 1 park per day (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios)

• Park Hopper Ticket – Visit 1 or more parks per day (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom and/or Hollywood Studios)

Please note that all prices listed here include taxes. Also please note that all prices are subject to change.

Summary of Disney World Ticket Price Vendors

Disney World Site

Buying your tickets online directly from Disney was always the most expensive option of the four that we considered.

However, if you want to be able to use Disney gift cards to pay for your tickets, then you’ll want to go through the Disney website.

Expedia

Expedia didn’t usually offer the most competitive price and was sometimes just as expensive as the Disney website. However, if you are part of the Expedia Rewards program and are wanting to earn more rewards points, this could still be a good option.

Undercover Tourist

Undercover Tourist was the least expensive option for:

3-Day Base
5-Day Park Hopper
6-Day Park Hopper
7-Day Base
7-Day Park Hopper
8-Day Base
8-Day Park Hopper Adult
9-Day Base
10-Day Base

However, for some tickets, the price difference between Undercover Tourist and Park Savers was less than a dollar.

Park Savers

Park Savers had the best prices for:

3-Day Park Hopper
4-Day Base
4-Day Park Hopper
5-Day Base
6-Day Base
8-Day Park Hopper Child
9-Day Park Hopper
10-Day Park Hopper

Again, it should be noted that for some tickets, the price difference between Park Savers and Undercover Tourist was less than a dollar.

Conclusion

The best option really depends on how many days you’ll be visiting and whether or not you’ll be park hopping! You’ll most likely want to use either Undercover Tourist or Park Savers.
