Today, I want to discuss the World Premiere Food Court, which is the quick service food court at Disney’s All Star Movies Resort. One thing I love about Disney World value and moderate hotels is that they have food courts that make meals quick and easy. They are themed, and that makes the experience even more fun.
So today, I want to review the All Star Movies Resort’s food court in particular. I have visited this food court numerous times throughout the years, and I want to share my experiences. In this review, I want to discuss:
- The theming
- The World Premiere Food Court’s 2025 refurbishment
- The one item I always get when I am there
- A review of the food
- The best thing I’ve ever had at the World Premiere Food Court
- How to save money on a visit to the All Star Movies Resort in general
World Premiere Food Court Theming
I absolutely love the theming of the World Premiere Food Court. I love how it is set up to look like a movie theater – perfect for the All Star Movies Resort! I love how the different places where you order food are named after famous movie theaters.
World Premiere Food Court Refurbishment
The World Premiere Food Court recently got a big refurbishment earlier this year. So if have been in the past but haven’t been in awhile, it will look different to you.
The biggest difference to me was the movie posters. One of my favorite features of the World Premiere Food Court was how you could see posters for upcoming Disney movies. I thought it was a neat feature (and also got me excited for upcoming movies).
When I first heard they were getting rid of this feature, I was quite bummed. I wasn’t sure I would like the new posters.
Because now instead, they do have movie posters up. But they are actually parodies of movie posters. They have different Disney cartoon characters starring in movies with slightly different names.
And I have to admit, they are quite cute. It was fun seeing the different posters.
As a big fan of the movie Adventures in Baby-Sitting, I especially enjoyed the Adventures in Ducksitting poster.
Now, having said that, I would probably still prefer movie posters. Probably my favorite would be classic movie posters up the way they have them up at Disney’s Riviera Resort.
But that is just me. And the new posters did not take away from my enjoying the refurbishment.
Overall, the refurbishment was great. The food court looks really good. There is plenty of seating, and all the decor and colors look sharp.
I love how there are some tables that look like film strips.
So overall, while I have my own personal preferences, I would say the refurbishment was a success. It was definitely something I had to see for myself.
Must Have Purchase
So I mentioned before there is one thing I always buy whenever I visit the World Premiere Food Court. And that is a refillable mug!
I am a big fan of Disney’s refillable mug system. How it works is that you can buy a mug and then you can refill it for free during your entire stay. This can really be quite the savings if you have a lot of meals or snacks at your hotel. Plus, then you get to take home a great souvenir from your trip!
I love collecting mugs from my different Disney trips. In fact, I still have a mug I got at All Star Movies back during the 1990’s that always brings a smile to my face.
So I recommend getting one when you visit.
Food Review
But obviously, the most important factor of a food court is, of course, the food. And I will say, I’ve had a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to food at World Premiere Food Court.
There are times when my food has been great. And there have been times when my food was cold or seemingly lacking key ingredients.
Take, for example, the pancakes I ordered last time I was there. There was something off about them (lack of sugar, perhaps?). They were better if you put syrup on it, but as far as pancakes at Disney hotels go, they were perhaps the worst I have had. They were burnt, too. The potato barrels were also burnt and hard. The bacon was mixed. Parts were good, parts not so much.
But a breakfast item that was much better? That would be the Western Omelet.
So once again, it’s just mixed results with this food court.
One item that mostly has been great is the pizza.
One time when my family ordered it was cold, but it was great every other time.
The pizza at World Premier Food Court is a really good deal, too, especially for Disney World. A large cheese pizza is just $20.99, and you can get eight decent-sized slices from that pizza. A family of four can split it up with two pieces each and have a good meal. That is why it made the list of our cheap eats at Disney World.
Best Menu Item
But there is one menu item I have to point out as the best menu item. And that would be the special dessert menu item we had there last time. It’s called “At The Movies Ice Cream Bucket”.
I like this menu item for a lot of reasons. First of all, it fits the theming of the food court so much. I love it when special menu items fit the theming. And when I think of the movies, I think of popcorn buckets. It reminds me of when I was a little girl and my father would take my sister and me to the movie theater, and we would all share a bucket of popcorn.
On top of the theming, the presentation is also great. I mean, look at it.
When I first saw it, I knew I wanted to eat it!
But then the most important part? It was absolutely delicious! Everything blended so well together.
Here’s what was in the ice cream bucket other than, of course, ice cream:
- Caramel Popcorn
- M&M’s
- Twix, SNICKERS bar pieces
- Chocolate and Caramel Sauces
- Whipped Cream
- Sprinkles
- Cherries
We also had a choice of vanilla, chocolate, or swirl (which was both vanilla and chocolate). We chose swirl, and it was great! We shared it between three different family members, and there was plenty for all three of us.
I had never had ice cream and popcorn together, but as it turns out, they taste really good together. The ice cream softens and sweetens the popcorn a bit, and the result is great.
I would say this was hands down the best dessert I have ever had at a Disney hotel, maybe anywhere ever. If this is on the menu when you are there, I say try it!
Conclusion
So with all the mixed experiences, the question you might have for me is, do I recommend the World Premier Food Court? Is it worth the price?
I would cautiously say yes, to try it, but be aware of the mixed results. I would definitely try the pizza, because we have mostly had great experiences, and the price is so low.
And absolutely try the dessert! One of the best desserts I’ve had!
And you can’t beat the convenience of a food court. And it’s really great to get the mug and save money that way.
But just be aware that not all meals are equal here.
