Hi I’m Elizabeth, one of the owners and main contributors at Green Vacation Deals. Our blog aims to help travelers save money and have the best vacations possible. All of our blog entries are written by different family members. We are well-versed travel experts with various travel certifications.
And I guess my family running a travel blog was a natural progression for us. My family and I have always loved traveling. My love of travel goes back many years. I wasn’t even two when I figured how (in my own toddler way, of course) to pronounce ”Polynesian Village”.
As the years have gone by, my love of travel has only grown more. But my bank account hasn’t always reflected my love of travel. I knew if I was going to travel like I wanted to, I was going to have to find ways to get some really good deals.
And so my family and I have worked hard over the years to figure out ways to save money for vacations. This includes both finding ways to earn gift cards for travel and finding great deals.
And then eight years ago, as I was sitting waiting for the Country Bears show to start at Disney World, I started thinking about wanting to find more travel deals. I found myself wishing that there was a blog out there that shared travel deals as frequently as my favorite sports blogs get updated.
And then it hit me. My family should start our own travel blog! We could share all of our advice we’ve learned over the years.
And we continue to learn more and more. We continue to educate ourselves so we can help your family have as much fun traveling as we have.
And over the years, we’ve evolved into much more than a place to share travel deals. We found people asking us for travel advice in general.
So in addition to ways to save money on travel, we also give our reviews of hotels, attractions, and restaurants. We also provide you with lots of videos of our travel in our videos, like the walk-through of what will probably always be my all-time favorite Disney hotel, the Polynesian Village:
So look around and see what you can find. We encourage you to subscribe to our newsletter and visit our website as much as possible to find some great deals. And as always, we encourage you to travel – but only with the best possible deals!
