Westgate Hotel
Elvis Presley appeared at the International Hotel in Las Vegas from 1969 to 1976. That hotel is now the Westgate Hotel and it seems like Elvis is still there. Numerous people have reported seeing Elvis’ apparition hanging around the showroom and upper floor halls. His spirit has also been seen by the backstage elevator which leads to the Green Room and was Elvis’ favorite place to be.
Horseshoe Las Vegas
One of the most tragic events in Las Vegas history was the fire at the MGM Grand Resort in 1980. A raging fire engulfed one of the hotel’s towers and 85 people perished. The tower was rebuilt and sold and it is now the Horseshoe Las Vegas.
Guests in that tower have reported the strong odor of smoke and sounds of people screaming down the hallways. There have been many reports of an elderly woman playing a block of slot machines on the floor of the casino. She’s calmly playing the machines as her dress engulfs her in flames and then she disappears. If she’s approached, she disappears.
The Flamingo
The Flamingo was owned by Bugsy Seigel until he was murdered 6 months after it opened. Many believe he never left. Bugsy has been spotted at his garden memorial inside the wedding chapel. He’s also been seen in the Presidential Suite where he lived before his murder. Guests in the Presidential Suite have been awakened by the sounds of whispering and have seen dark shadows at the foot of their beds.
The Hotel Apache
The Hotel Apache has the reputation of being a haunted hotel. There have been numerous reports of phantom phones ringing. Shadow figures have been seen lurking down hallways. Guests have reported being touched or pushed when no one is there.
El Cortez Hotel & Casino
El Cortez Hotel & Casino is the oldest continuously operating hotel and casino in Las Vegas. Some believe it’s the number of years in operation and others believe it’s the result of violence from the early mob ownership – either way, it’s known among locals as a haunted hotel. Bugsy Seigel and Meyer Lansky were part owners in the 1940s.
Employees have reported seeing transparent white disembodied hands reach out from the darkness in an entirely empty room. Guests have reported hearing loud, repeated knocks on the door when no one is there. Shadowy figures appear in the corner of a room and vanish when approached.

The Luxor
There are rumors that the Luxor is haunted and there are rumors that the hotel is cursed. Some believe that the black exterior and the missing eye on the top of the pyramid are what is attracting dark energy to the hotel. More than one worker died during the construction of the Luxor. Two guests jumped to their deaths off the interior balconies. There have been reports of ghost sightings on the high hotel balconies. There have been reports of apparitions and moving objects inside the Titanic Artifact Exhibition. Guests have complained of hearing disembodied voices.
When the hotel opened, it featured a Nile River Ride. So many frightened people claimed they saw ghosts in the dark tunnel that the ride was shut down after three years.
