This year the Chinese New Year begins on February 18, 2026. Forbes has called Las Vegas “one of the top 8 places in the U.S. to celebrate Chinese New Year.” Come see for yourself the Chinese New Year celebrations in the desert.

2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse.  The horse symbolizes adventure, vitality and momentum.  This will be a year of bold moves and exploration.  People born in the year of the Fire Horse are believed to be charming and adventurous.  They are seen as natural leaders and motivators.

The Grand Canal Shoppes

The Venetian Resort’s premiere shopping destination, The Grand Canal Shoppes, will have a ceremonial dragon dance and lion dance.  It will go through the lobbies, the casinos and the Waterfall Atrium.  It will feature a parade of dancers, musicians and drummers, all dressed in elaborate costumes and making music.
