Cirque Du Soleil JOYÀ is in fact a quite unique Cirque Du Soleil show. For one thing, it is the only resident Cirque du Soleil show outside the United States.
And because it is a Mexican production, the show is very much Mexican in flavor. In fact, the show itself is inspired by Mexico’s history, culture, and heritage. It involves a great story involving joy, courage, and friendship where a rebellious teenage girl and her half-human, half-animal assistants look for the meaning of life in a mysterious jungle.
Cirque Du Soleil JOYÀ is also different from other Cirque Du Soleil shows because it is the only show in the world with dining options. So it can be more of a dinner theater show than just a show. The whole experience combines culinary arts with performing arts.
Location
Its theater is located at Vidanta Riviera Maya. This is a hotel that the Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards named as one of the top five hotels in Eastern Mexico. It is located on the Yucatán Peninsula in Playa del Carmen.
