Relax and enjoy the scenic and historic Delaware River on a kayak. You’ll be on a 5-6 mile stretch of river that’s ideal for kayaking. The water temperature is in the 80s, the current is gentle and the average depth is between 2 to 4 feet.
Kayak Adventure Itinerary
The first half of your kayak adventure is easy and you’ll be floating gently. Be sure to bring your camera to get some beautiful photos of the Delaware River and riverbanks that you can share with family and friends on social media. As you paddle, you could see a turtle or glide by a family of ducks. Relax and enjoy being on the river.
Halfway on your trip, you’ll stop for a complimentary meal at “The Famous River Hot Dog Man” which won the 2008 New Jersey Restaurant Association Award. Enjoy your meal on Adventure Island and eat on picnic tables in the water! Choose from hot dogs, cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, and veggie burgers. Also available for purchase are nachos and cheese, potato chips, ice-chilled Snickers, Milky Ways and Trix, sodas, lemonade, and water.
Following your meal break, you’ll continue paddling on the Delaware River. The second half of your trip will take you through 7 sets of class 1 (beginner level) rapids. Paddle through the fun rapids and enjoy views of the beautiful riverbanks and river.
Your ticket also includes free parking, shuttle service, key checks, paddles, and life jackets. There are on-site facilities with restrooms and changing rooms.
Delaware River Tubing is located in Milford, New Jersey. It is approximately 45 minutes from Central Bucks County and about an hour from Lower Bucks County and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Travel time from New York City is approximately 1 ½ hours.
