The Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet is returning to the Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville, Tennessee, on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 4 pm and at 8 pm.
Talmi Entertainment’s Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet is celebrating its 32nd annual tour. It had shared the joy and magic of this special ballet with families across America.
The production features world-class artists, including ballerinas Karya Sharkavsharyu from the Ukrainian capital of Krarkiv and Elena Pechenuik, the 2015 Honored Artist of Ukraine. It also includes dancers like Rustem Imangaliyev, a highly awarded dancer from Kazakhstan. The 2024 production debuts new choreography from star choreographer Viktor Kavyliuk. The choreography blends classical ballet, puppetry and acrobatics.
With a corps de ballet of 40 Vaganova ballerinas and dancers, this production brings this fairy tale ballet to life. 10 foot-tall puppets, beautiful handpainted backdrops and hundreds of gorgeous costumes plus Tchaikovsky’s timeless score makes this a feast for the eyes as well as the ears. And, of course, there is the beloved story of Clara at Christmas time. All of this will transport you into a world of enchantment.
