There are Christmas light experiences, and then there is Enchanted Lights in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area.

I think one reason why Enchanted Lights stands out to me is that it is a family project.  The Krischke family turned their 70-acre Cranberry property into a holiday lights experience.  It has the good classic holiday feeling, but with quirky and mischievous twists along the way.  After all, it’s not every holiday event that you see Santa Claus and the Grinch duel it out.

Because yes, this event not only features holiday lights, but appearances by beloved holiday characters as well!  These characters will be on location until 7:30 PM.  The experience itself starts at 5:30 PM and takes place on select nights between now and December 30, 2025.

This is an outdoor, walkthrough event that takes around an hour.  While you are there, you can also stop by the campfire and relax.  You can roast S’mores and sip hot chocolate.

Additional Information

Please note the path is gravel with some slopes.  There are benches available for breaks.

However, it must be noted that this could be a tough experience for anyone using a walker,  wheelchair, or small-wheeled stroller.  If you want to bring a stroller, make sure the stroller has large, all-terrain tires.

You can also bring your dog on the following upcoming dates:

  • December 14, 21, 22 & 28

Just make sure your dog is on a non-retractable leash and that you clean after them.

Also, keep in mind that since this is an outdoor event, you’ll need to dress appropriately for the most likely cold winter!
