Orlando, Florida is a great place to visit during the holiday season. ICE! is an annual event at Gaylord Palms Marriott in Kissimmee, Florida. It is a really special event that the resort prepares for all year. More than two million pounds of ice are hand-carved by artisans into amazing holiday scenes and characters. Each year features a different theme.
This year’s theme is the beloved holiday television special, “A Charlie Brown Christmas”! So you and your family can walk through the exhibit and see popular Peanuts characters such as Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, Schroeder, Franklin, etc., and scenes from the Christmas special – just carved in ice! They have to keep the exhibit a cold 9 degrees so the ice won’t melt, but they will provide you with a parka.
The whole event is just really special. And it takes place at such a special resort. Gaylord Palms is a great place to stay year-round. It has a golf course, spa, beautiful atriums themed to different parts of Florida, multiple pools, a fitness center, several dining options, live entertainment, and more.
