Washington DC Nighttime Christmas Lights Bus Tour
Have you ever been to Washington, D.C. during the Christmas season? I went for the first time last year and I absolutely loved it. The decorations are so beautiful.
And the experience takes on a whole new beauty at night. That is when the Christmas lights are turned on. It is a really neat experience to see the city decorated in this way.
So if you’re visiting Washington, D.C., I know you’ll want to take in all the holiday nights. But it can be a bit cold in December to walk all around the city at night.
Luckily, there is a bus tour that takes care of that problem! Your bus driver can drive you all around the city. So you can see all the best sights from a climate-controlled tour bus. You will get out of the bus occasionally to see the sights more up close and get great pictures. But then you can get back on the bus and warm up! Please make sure, however, you wear warm clothing.
And you are in for a great tour. It is a three-hour tour during which your tour guide will tell you interesting stories about Washington, D.C. Not only will you learn about the birth of our nation, but you’ll also learn about the area’s holiday festivities, like the Pageant of Peace. And you get great views of the best decorations in the city. That includes The People’s Tree and Georgetown’s Glow Light Art Exhibition.
This tour takes place in December, starting on December 3, 2020. It begins and ends at the U.S. Navy Memorial.

COVID-19 Safety
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year the tour will be a bit different. It is mandatory to wear facemasks on this tour. There is hand sanitizer available onboard and the bus will be properly cleaned between tours. And fewer people will be allowed on the bus per tour so that people can properly socially distance themselves on the bus. Which is all the more reason you should book the tour now!
