The Phoenix Ballet Holiday Spectacular Featuring the Nutcracker has been entertaining Valley of the Sun families for the past 17 years. Under artistic director Slawomir Wozniak’s direction, this is a highly entertaining, family-friendly show. It takes place on Saturday, December 14, and Sunday, December 15, 2024, and it can really get you in that Christmas spirit. And you can even see it this year at a discounted price!
And that is great because this is a can’t-miss show this year. The Phoenix Ballet Holiday Spectacular: The Nutcracker was previously performed at the Orpheum Theatre. This year, it will take place at the Arizona Financial Theatre in downtown Phoenix. This change in venue means the show can be bigger and better than ever!
One addition I personally really like is that this year, the show will be performed with live music by the Chandler Symphony, conducted by Maestro Vanja Nikolovski! I think hearing the incredible Tchaikovsky score performed live really adds to the experience.
But the show will still have all the things that made The Nutcracker so popular for so many years in the firs place. It still tells the timeless tale of Clara and her Nutcracker prince. It features the classic scenes, like the acrobatic Russian Dance, the Sugar Plum Fairy, the dancing mice, and snowfall on stage.
The Phoenix Ballet’s Holiday Spectacular, The Nutcracker, features a great cast of dancers. This includes both professional dancers as well as student dancers from the Master Ballet Academy.
There are two shows on December 14th ( 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM) and two shows on December 15th (1:00 PM and 5:00 PM). If you would like to attend on the these shows, keep reading to find out how to save money on your ticket.
