WinterFest at Kings Dominion
This holiday season, Kings Dominion theme park in Virginia has been transformed into a winter wonderland for their holiday event, WinterFest! There are so many new beautiful Christmas & winter decorations up, you’ll hardly recognize the park! And there are a lot of great experiences you can have here that you can’t normally have at Kings Dominion.
We attended this event last weekend and had a wonderful time! You can get a glimpse of why in our video. We show you a lot of the decorations, shows, and experiences:
The park is divided into different holiday sections.
International Street
This would have to be my favorite part of WinterFest. This is at the front of the park. The lights around the Eiffel Tower are simply breathtaking. I love Snow Flake Lake Ice Skating. It’s such an amazing experience to skate in front of the Eiffel Tower without having to leave Virginia! And the decorations throughout International Street are perfect. I love the miniature Eiffel Tower! You’ll be able to see for yourself how beautiful this is during our video.

Candy Cane Lane
I just love the candy cane decorations and projections here. They are so beautiful and perfect for the theme. Check it out in our video!
Charlie Brown’s Christmas Town
See Planet Snoopy transformed for Christmas with beautiful decorations! This is where you can find Sally Brown’s Christmas Crafts!
Coca-Cola Polar Bear Plaza
This is a great part of the park at the back of the park near Twisted Timbers. I love the larger than life Santa here. This is where you can enjoy the Coke Polar Party! In our video, you’ll be able to see some of the Holly Jolly Trolley performance in this section.
Elf Village
Elf Village is home to Santa’s hardest workers. This is where you’ll find the Tinker Toy’s Factory show, which you can see part of in our video.
Jack Frost Zone
Bundle up when you walk down Jack Frost Zone!
Old Virginia Christmas
Enjoy traditional sights and decorations from a past era here. You can get a picture with Santa at St. Nick’s Pics here! You can catch Charlie Brown’s Christmas Spectacular here at Kings Dominion Theater.
Snowman Alley
Snowman Alley is an adorable, snow-themed section of the park. This is where you can find the WinterFest Snow Globe!
Tinsel Town
See Christmas decorations with a 1950s theming.
Toy Soldier Alley
I just love the Toy Soldier decorations here! This is also where you can see Sounds of the Nativity and the live animals that are part of the nativity scene!
