Being at Disneyland after dark makes for a memorable experience – especially when it’s a uniquely themed event! And Disney After Dark Disney Channel Nite is just that.
This after hours event at the Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California will take place on April 12, April 14 and April 16. And in this guide, we’ll go over what you need to know about this Disneyland event.
What is Disneyland After Dark Disney Channel Nite?
Disneyland After Dark is a series of fun themed nights at Disneyland. These are special events that require their own ticket (i.e. they aren’t included with regular park admission). Some of the themes include Sweethearts’ Nite, Star Wars Nite, Pride Nite, and more. And for the last couple of years, guests have been able to enjoy Disney Channel Nite! In addition to the typical fun you can have with Disneyland rides and attractions, you can enjoy special Disney Channel themed entertainment and experiences.
So are rides open during Disney After Dark?
One of the exciting things about Disneyland After Dark is that you get to ride select Disneyland attractions during the event. And because this is a special ticketed event, there are usually less crowds and shorter wait times.
Also, you get to enter Disneyland 3 hours before the event starts, even if you don’t have a regular Disneyland ticket. This is another great opportunity for you to enjoy some of your favorite rides.

Where do you stay when going to Disneyland?
If you’ll be traveling from out of town to attend this Disney After Dark event, then I’m sure you’d love to stay at a great hotel.
The Disneyland Hotel is an amazing place to stay and within walking distance to the parks (Disneyland and California Adventure). We recommend using this hack to save money on a Disneyland Hotel villa.
You can also stay at one of the other official Disneyland hotels, Disney’s Paradise Pier and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. We also recommend these hotels close to Disneyland with indoor pools, as well as these hotels near Disneyland with onsite waterparks.
