Sharing is caring!

My family just had an amazing time at the Epcot Festival of the Holidays.  So of course, we wanted to share with you our experience.

One of the things we were excited about experiencing at the festival was the great food and drinks.  You can read a complete list of the food and drinks offered here.  We tried a lot of them and let me tell you, they did not disappoint.

See, like a lot of the Epcot festival, the Festival of the Holidays has “kitchens” set up throughout Epcot.  These are essentially booths where you can buy food and drinks.  The food ranges from desserts to snacks to even something you could have for a meal.

And if you were picking one holiday kitchen to have a meal, then I would suggest Tuscany Holiday Kitchen.  You can fittingly find this holiday kitchen right outside the Italy Pavillion in Epcot’s World Showcase.  And fittingly, they serve delicious Italian and holiday-inspired food.

It is great to order from this holiday kitchen and then have your meal in the Italy Pavillion.  They have a number of tables with chairs with backs (which you’ll appreciate after some time at this festival since Epcot always involves a lot of walking).  And the atmosphere in the Italy Pavillion is one of my family’s favorites.  It’s so beautiful there with the flowers and architecture plus the great Italian music.

This is also a great holiday kitchen because the whole menu is great, top to bottom.  Everyone in your family should find something to like.  You’ll understand that once I get into the specifics.

Food

Let me start with one of the best items that you could truly eat as a meal.  And that is the Farfalle Salmone Affumicato.

It consists of Farfalle pasta, cream sauce, and smoked salmon.  And it was so good!  The salmon was really good, very high quality.  And the salmon paired with the pasta and cream sauce was just so delicious.  It was right up there for me with some of the best seafood pasta dishes I’ve ever had.  If this was an entree at an Italian restaurant, this would be my order.

Another great food option is Dolce Pizza.

It consists of fried house-made pizza dough served with cinnamon and sugar.  So if you have ever wanted a combination of pizza tastes with dessert tastes (and why wouldn’t you?) this is for you.  It was really sweet and delicious.  We definitely recommend it.

But that is not the only pizza dough option.  You can also get Montanara.

It also consists of fried house-made pizza dough but this time it is paired with parmesan, fresh basil, and pomodoro sauce.

We also thought this was good, the dough itself especially.  The cheese was great and the sauce was good, too.  Our only complaint (and it’s not a big one) is that there was perhaps too much sauce because parts of the dough became soggy.  But otherwise, we liked it and would definitely order it again.

We also liked the Torta Caprese, which was a great dessert that combined flourless chocolate torta with chocolate sauce and vanilla cream.

This was very good as well.  It reminded me of the brownies my mother made for me when I was a child.  That brought back really positive and happy feelings, which I always like having.

Drinks

So I can’t really talk about the drinks without starting with the best one.  And that was the Chianti.

It was the best wine we had at the whole festival.  It was really good, with a nice taste to it.

The Moscato was also good so we also recommend that.  It was light and refreshing.  But it was not as good as the Chianti.
