Caldicot Castle dates back to 1100. It is a stone medieval castle built by the Normans. It is surrounded by lovely gardens and a country park.
By day, Caldicot Castle is a monument to history. By night, it’s entirely different.
Go on a guided journey into the dark heart of the castle. You’ll walk though ancient corridors and down into the chapel ruins.
They are called the Brothers of the Bleeding Oak. They once were the guardians of an ancient covenant but now are merely cursed vessels.
At the center of it all is the portal to the Tree God himself. It grows restless and reaches out for those who come too close.
The doors will close behind you. The torches will flicker. The only way out is to take a frightening trek through the haunted castle. Can you do it?

What you’ll find in the castle incudes:
- The Caldicot Covenant – A terrifying maze through the castle.
- Seance of the Forgotten – Summon live spirits in a chilling ritual experience.
- Forest of Fear – Sinister woodland trail where shadows stir and trees whisper.
- Ghoul’s Gamesground – Twisted games with frightening challenges.
- The Bloody Banquet – A gruesome feast of street food.
- The Goblet & Dagger – Get some liquid courage at a haunted tavern.
Frightworks is designed to scare. Actors will jump out at you. There will be strobe lights, darkness, smoke machines and loud music. The maze will last approximately thirty minutes. Other activities can be done before or after the maze.
Family sessions run from 5 pm to 6 pm and are recommended for children 7+. Dark sessions start every day from 7 pm and are suitable for those who are 12+.
