New Haven, Connecticut Travel Guide
New Haven is a coastal city located on the northern shore of Long Island Sound in Connecticut. Founded by English Puritans in 1638. It was the first planned city in the U.S. Eight streets were laid out in a four by four grid creating what is now known as the “Nine Square Plan.”
New Haven is best known as the home of Yale University, established in 1701. A visit to the three-century-old campus will delight anyone who loves books, history, art and/or architecture.

The Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library has one of the few remaining Guttenberg Bibles and the New Haven Museum features local history.
Visit Lighthouse Point Park and its beach and enjoy swimming and beautiful sunsets. New Haven has its share of paranormal activity and you can take a Ghost Walk…if you dare.
