Celebrate Chinese New Year At Bellagio Las Vegas

No city loves celebrating holidays more than Las Vegas, Nevada.  So come and celebrate Chinese New Year at Bellagio Las Vegas and be prepared to be wowed and have fun!

The Chinese New Year 2021 begins on February 12 and runs through February 17, 2021.  In Las Vegas, decorations begin in January and often go through the month of February.

2021 is the Year of the Ox.  The Chinese believe that the animal ruling your birth year influences your personality and destiny.

The Conservatory & Botanical Gardens at the Bellagio Las Vegas is all decked out celebrating the Year of the Ox,  The display is entitled “A Season of Love”  Each element honors the Year of the Ox utilizing Asian culture, art and architecture.

“A Season of Love” was carefully designed with Feng Shui, the art of using surroundings to attract positivity, harmony, and balance.  Floral creations send messages of love for children, nature, commitment, tradition, and travel.

As you enter the Conservatory, you’ll be welcomed by 2 large Chinese Foo Dog water fountains.  They are for warding off negative energy and promotivity.  Also in the South Bed, a colorful bird is sitting on top of a peony sculpture. Suspended over the South Bed are large jade medallions, symbolizing success, prosperity and good luck.

The West Bed is home to the majestic Jade Pavilion.  A graceful willow tree and a Bonsai tree towering over a bed of shrubs, metallic cattail plants, and copper Bonsai tree rain fountains.  Soaring over all this are two magpie birds.  The West Bed is illuminated by the Ox symbol in the moon.

Two Golden Oxen stand on a gold and red bridge running the length of the East Bed.  Oversized gold cherry blossom branches symbolize durability plus rebirth.  Completing this beautiful scene are bamboo trees at the ends of the bridge and a pond with gorgeous oversized Lotus flowers.

A tall flower Pagoda sits in the center of the North Bed.  Flowing water, Banyan trees surround the brilliant red lanterns hanging from the ceiling.  Children made up of fresh-cut flowers celebrate the blessings of the New Year.  The promise of good fortune in the coming year is represented by an oversized Koi fish leaping from the water.

“A Season of Love” is open to the public to enjoy 24/7 free of charge from now until March 6, 2021.
