Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek

Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek is the hotel that used to be known as Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek.  I always think of it as a hotel that is not technically a Disney hotel or a hotel on the Walt Disney World Resort like the Swan and Dolphin or the Disney Springs hotels.  But it is about as close as you can get to the Walt Disney World Resort without actually being on the property.

And it is a really nice hotel, with good-sized rooms with king-sized and queen-sized beds.  They have suites, too.  You can even get a Disney View Guest Room where you can get views of Disney theme parks like Hollywood Studios.

Since Signia is located adjacent to Waldorf Astoria, you also get access to the Waldorf Astoria Golf Club.  And that is pretty awesome since this golf course was named one of the “Top Courses You Can Play” by Golf Magazine.

And then there is the pool complex.  They were named an Orlando Top 10 Fantastic Pools by TripAdvisor with good reason.  They have a lagoon-style, zero-entry point pool.  My favorite feature of their pool complex is their Lazy River.  You can use one of their inner tubes for free (on a first-come, first-serve basis).  But another great feature is that their staff runs arts and crafts during the day so you can grab a cocktail and relax while your kids can have fun.

Staying at this hotel also means you are close to restaurants here and the restaurants over at Waldorf Astoria.  Between the two, you have access to over ten restaurants, including

La Luce

La Luce is Signia’s signature restaurant, based on the famed Napa Valley chef and restaurateur Donna Scala.  It is a modern Italian country kitchen with Mediterranean-inspired cocktails & a Trattoria-style wine program

Bull and Bear

Bull and Bear is another top restaurant, as in OpenTable named Bull and Bear as one of the 100 top restaurants in the United States.  They are known for their re-imagined steakhouse classics, and some of their signature entrees includes:

  • 32-Day Dry-Aged Tomahawk Rib Eye
  • Bull & Bear Fried Chicken
  • Pasta Explosion

MYTH Bar

The MYTH Bar offers cocktails and light food.  And you may think of it as just a lobby bar.  But like what you might expect when you are near the Walt Disney World Resort, it is more than just a lobby bar.  It has a backstory that involves the Bonnet sisters and a rumor that they were part-mermaid.

Beech

Beech is a poolside bar and restaurant serving food like sandwiches, salads, and burgers along with free-flowing mojitos and tropically inspired drinks.

Muse

Muse is a coffee bar serving tea and inventive espresso drinks.  You can also get freshly baked pastries, sandwiches, and salads here, and even breakfast-to-go.

Zeta Asia

Zeta Asia is a great gathering place in Signia where you can watch enjoy great conversation – or watch that game you’re dying to see.  You can sip on innovative, hand-crafted cocktails, wines, and beer and eat traditional & signature sushi rolls and sashimi.

Peacock Alley

Peacock Alley is located in the main lobby of the adjacent Waldorf Astoria.  Some of the offerings here include small-plate-inspired cuisine, coffee, espresso drinks, freshly baked croissants & pastries, and an exquisite wine selection.

Oscar’s Brasserie

Oscar’s Brasserie is also located in the Waldorf Astoria.  It is open for breakfast and has a casually elegant atmosphere.  You can get a breakfast buffet or order from an a la carte menu.

The Clubhouse Grille

The Clubhouse Grille is open for lunch and offers traditional lunch fare and favorites like the Chicago-style Hot Dog and their Club Sandwich.  Oh, and did I mention it is located on the 19th hole at the Waldorf Astoria Golf Club?

Aquamarine

Aquamarine is Waldorf Astoria’s poolside restaurant, serving sandwiches, burgers, and wings.  They also have a great kid’s menu with pizza, chicken fingers, grilled cheese, etc.

Harvest Bistro

The Harvest Bistro offers traditional American fare.  They used to be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but they are currently only open for breakfast.
