Taking a Disney cruise has got to be in a travel bucket list for every Disney fan.  Not only do you get to travel the world on a luxury cruise & see exotic countries & islands you’ve never seen before, but it’s got the magic of Disney!

Disney offers a lot of great destinations:

  • Bahamas
  • Eastern Caribbean
  • Western Caribbean
  • Southern Caribbean
  • Alaska
  • Canada
  • Mexican Riviera
  • Pacific Coast
  • Transatlantic
  • Panama Canal
  • Hawaii
  • Baja
  • British Isles
  • Northern Europe
  • Norwegian Fjords
  • Mediterranean

From lots of different ports:

  • Port Canaveral, Florida
  • Miami, Florida
  • New Orleans, Louisiana
  • Galveston, Texas
  • San Diego, California
  • Honolulu, Hawaii
  • New York City
  • Quebec City
  • Vancouver, British Columbia
  • San Juan, Puerto Rico
  • Dover, England
  • Copenhagen, Denmark
  • Rome, Italy
  • Barcelona, Spain

Unfortunately, these cruises can get a bit expensive, but there are ways to save.  Here are 5 ways you can do that:

  1. Last Minute Travel: Last Minute Travel offers 7% off all Disney cruises, so you can save a lot of money here rather than booking through Disney.
  2. Cruise Direct: Cruise Direct consistently has some of the best rates you can find online for Disney cruises (and trust me, I’ve looked!).  Check out their Disney cruise deals here.
  3. Earn Swagbucks: One way you can save by booking through Disney’s website is by earning Swagbucks.  You can earn Swagbucks by doing things online, such as watching videos, answering trivia questions, completing surveys and even just making purchases online (you can find out more about Swagbucks here).  You can use those Swagbucks to buy a Walmart gift card, which you can then use to buy a Disney gift card (and if you are a Sam’s Club member, you can use those Walmart gift cards to buy discounted Disney gift cards!)  After that, you can use your Disney gift cards to help pay for your cruise. I do this all the time to help me save money on Disney vacations.
  4. Be from Canada or Florida…or in the military: Okay, so this one is kind of hard to achieve if this isn’t already true, and you shouldn’t, say, join the military just to get these rates, but if you already are a Florida resident you can get discounted rates on Caribbean & Bahamas cruise, if you are Canadian you can save up to 25% on select cruises and there are also special discounted military rates for select cruises.
  5. Avoya Travel: Avoya Travel can offer some seriously low prices on cruises, and you can book a Disney cruise through Avoya, too.  Just pick out the cruise you want, the cabin, etc. and then a representative will call you to talk about their prices.  I might check out Last Minute Travel & Disney’s website first and then when you do talk to an Avoya rep you’ll really know if you’re getting a great deal.
