Good news: Disney World’s Flower and Garden Festival is back! It is running from February 28, 2024, to May 27, 2024 this year. So if you are in Orlando, Florida during these dates, then you definitely want to head to the Walt Disney World Resort to enjoy this festival. If you do get to go, I recommend trying some of the food at the festival. Now, at the Flower & Garden Festival, the focus is obviously the flowers and the Disney character topiaries. The Food & Wine Festival is the festival at Epcot that most focuses on the food. But there is some great food and drinks you can have at this festival. And in particular, we’d like to focus today on Bauernmarkt.
Bauernmarkt is a farmer’s market that is part of the outdoor kitchen feature at Epcot’s Flower & Garden Festival. You can find this market fittingly outside the German Pavilion in the World Showcase. And all of the food here is really delicious.
Menu Items
One of the highlights of the menu here is the potato pancakes. It is made with a House-made Apple Sauce.
My dad absolutely loved this dish. He said it reminded him of the applesauce or apple pies his grandmother made for him when he was a child.
The majority of my family, though (myself included) got the Toasted Pretzel Bread topped with Black Forest Ham and Melted Gruyère Cheese.
But perhaps the menu item you will be most interested in is the dessert! You can get Warm Cheese Strudel with Mixed Berries at this market.
This was absolutely delicious! My whole family loved this!
So we definitely recommend checking out this market. It makes for a great lunch, and it is actually a bit cheaper than getting your lunch at other places at Epcot. And it’s a lot more special since it’s part of the festival.
