Thanksgiving is just a few days away, which of course has me thinking about all my favorite delicious holiday foods. And that makes me think of a meal I had just a few days ago at Sharks Underwater Grill at SeaWorld Orlando!
Sharks Underwater Grill is a great sit-down restaurant at SeaWorld theme park in Orlando, Florida. Most of the dining at the theme park (and most theme parks) is of the quick service variety. But at Sharks Underwater Grill, you get to sit down and order from a really great menu.
But that’s not even the best part. The best part is you get to watch amazing sharks and fish swim by as you eat your meal! You know how SeaWorld has one of the world’s largest underwater viewing tunnels? Well, you get to eat right beside it with great views when you eat at Sharks Underwater Grill!
Because of this amazing experience, it can get very popular and you can’t always get a seat. You can’t make reservations in advance. But you can come by around 11:00 AM to reserve your seat. We came by a bit later and got lucky and were still able to get a lunch reservation. It was about a thirty-minute wait or so but we were able to go watch the sea lions at Pacific Point Preserve while we waited. We then got a text and headed back to the restaurant. But we haven’t always been able to get a reservation. But if you are able get a reservation, you won’t be disappointed.
Especially since if you do it now, you can take advantage of a great holiday dining menu! The regular menu at Sharks Underwater Grill is still available. But they have a second special menu of holiday favorites! You won’t see it on the regular menu. You’ll have to ask your server for a special menu.
Holiday Menu Dining Details & Review
So there are two different special holiday entrees available at Sharks Underwater Grill during the holiday season.
You can get bourbon vanilla glazed smoked ham for $32. It comes with candied yams, green bean almandine, and orange cranberry relish.
You can also choose the herb-marinated fried turkey breast for $32. That dish comes with roasted turkey gravy, cornbread stuffing, green bean almandine, and orange cranberry relish.
There is also a three-cheese lobster mac and cheese for $19. Please note, however, that while it is not listed on the menu as a side dish, I was told it was more of a side dish when I went to order it.
But of course, no holiday dining menu would be complete without dessert! You can order doughnut cinnamon sugar bread pudding for $13. It comes with cherry compote grand Marnier caramel sauce, whipped cream, and sugar candy art.
So what was our favorite? Well, that would have to be the bourbon vanilla glazed smoked ham!
It was so good! The ham especially was so delicious. The vanilla flavor with the ham worked so well. The yams were also really good. If I had any complaint it would be that at first, I felt it needed marshmallows since that is how I am used to eating them during Thanksgiving and Christmas. But once I got past that, I really loved the yams. So all in all, it was a delicious entree that my whole family liked.
So I really love this new special holiday menu at Sharks Underwater Grill. Not only is it delicious, but what is also great is that you can still order from the regular menu. So if someone in your family doesn’t like ham and turkey, for instance, they could still order for example the Caesar Salad, Filet Mignon, shrimp, scallops, salmon, etc.
How Long Will The Holiday Dining Menu Be Available?
This special menu will be available through Christmas, or December 25, 2022. This is exciting because it means you can take advantage of it during most of SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration. SeaWorld Orlando’s Christmas Celebration, of course, is the event currently going on that my family really loves. You get to do all the fun things you normally do at SeaWorld, like animal experiences and rides. But then you also get special holiday experiences like shows and photos with Santa Claus and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer!
