If you’re looking for a fun and spirited way to celebrate the holiday season near Richmond, then Winterfest at Kings Dominion theme park in Doswell, Virginia is the place for you! The event is available on select nights from November 23rd through January 1st. There’s so much to do here – and here are 15 reasons why I know you’ll enjoy going:
1. Winterfest Lighting Spectacular
A crew of singers & dancers will kick off the WinterFest Lighting Spectacular, which takes place at the base of the Eiffel Tower. There’s a countdown to when Snoopy & his friends insert the giant plug in the humungous power outlet and then thousands of lights will come on! You’ll be able to enjoy this on International Street – along with snow, which will fall at night!
2. Snow Flake Lake Ice Skating
If you’ve ever dreamed of ice skating in front of the Eiffel Tower, then here’s your chance. Because that is exactly what you’ll get to do here!
3. Santa & Friends
What’s Christmas without the big guy himself? You’ll be able to visit Santa’s room and get pictures with him. And if you’ve got a long list of things to tell/ask Santa for and that visit can’t cover it for you, there’s a North Pole Post Office available at King’s Dominion that conveniently gets your letters right to Santa!
4. Midway Merriment
Meet over 30 of the Merriest Citizens of WinterFest, such as:
