One of my favorite things about Busch Gardens is how they celebrate the holidays. My first time visiting Busch Gardens for a holiday was for their Christmas Town Celebration. My family absolutely loved that event. But then we started visiting on all the different holidays: Halloween, St. Patrick’s Day, etc.
And now they have another upcoming holiday celebration. And that is Cinco de Mayo!
Cinco de Mayo at Busch Gardens takes place the weekend of Cinco de Mayo. The celebration starts on Friday, May 5, 2023. It runs through Sunday, May 7, 2023.
This should be a great celebration with a lot of fun things going on.
Fiesta Party Zone
The hub of the celebration though would be the Fiesta Party Zone. You can find it at the Wild Reserve. It will be transformed into a festive Cinco de Mayo fiesta with wonderful music.
Mexican Food & Drinks
Cinco de Mayo just happens to fall during Busch Gardens’ annual Food and Wine Festival. This means you can access a lot of great Mexican food and drinks. This includes Crispy Shrimp Tacos, Chili Chocolate & Horchata Mousse, Carne Asada Taco, and more. You can read more about it in our Busch Gardens Food and Wine Festival Guide.
Zoo Ambassadors
When you’re not eating great Mexican food, sipping great Mexican drinks, or dancing along to great Mexican music, you can also learn a lot about the animals that call Busch Gardens home. Zoo ambassadors will be on-hand and at select times, you’ll be able to talk to them and learn a lot.
