How to save money on tickets to Parc Asterix in France

Just 18 miles (or 30 kms) from Paris is the wonderful theme park Parc Asterix.  The fun amusement park is themed to the popular Asterix comic book series.  You and your family are bound to have a lot of fun at this theme park.

It’s got 6 different worlds with numerous attractions and fun things to do. 

Via Antiqua is the main entrance of the park and is looks like an ancient Roman street. 

Keeping with the Roman theme, The Roman Empire is themed to ancient Rome, Roman culture, and Roman mythology.

Keeping with the mythology theme, Ancient Greece is themed to Greek mythology with Greek gods and legends-themed attractions.

Themed to another famous ancient civilization, Egypt features rides and attractions that are nods to history and adventure.  You can even find iconic Egyptian landmarks like the pyramids.

Similarly, the Vikings section centers around adventure, Viking culture, and famous Viking battles and voyages.

Rounding out the sections is Gaul, themed to the Asterix comic book series.

Throughout the park you’ll find wonderful rides, such as:

  • Tonnerre de Zeus, one of Europe’s largest wooden roller coasters
  • Goudurix, a 7-loop roller coaster with a 118-foot drop
  • Les Petits Chars Tamponneurs, where you hold off Roman invaders in bumper cars
  • Les Petites Chaises Volantes, a fun children’s swing ride
  • Les Chaudrons, a spinning cup ride
  • Le Transdemonium, a family haunted house ride

But it’s not just ride.  There are great shows, too, like:

  • Gaulois-Romains Le Match: a match between Romans & Gaulish warriors
  • C’est du délire: A musical show
  • Les plongeons de l’Olympe: A diving competition at the Poseidon Theater
  • La danse des naufragés: A dance show starring the mysterious shipwrecked people of the Sirius

There are also character meet and greets as well as restaurants and shops.
