Looking to cool off this summer? Then check out Parrot Island Waterpark in Fort Smith, Arkansas! It is an outdoor waterpark with over 400,000 gallons of water fun! It has a tropical theme to it and there are tons of attractions for children and adults.
I want to tell you about some of these attractions. Then I will tell you how you can save money on your admission here!
FlowRider
Did you know that you can surf in Arkansas? You can feel that sensation with FlowRider!
FlowRider uses technology was designed and engineered in Southern California by WhiteWater. Its patented, tension ride surface is trampoline-like. Powerful pumps help create an “endless wave”. Riders can then bodyboard or stand-up ride on a board on this endless wave. It gives you the thrill of surfing without the intense ocean experience – or without having to drive to the coast!
Caribbean Splash
Another way you can feel like you are in the ocean is at the Caribbean Splash attraction. Caribbean Splash is the only wave pool in the region.
Tiny Turtle Island
Tiny Turtle Island is a great children’s water play area. It has a kiddie pool, slides, spraying water, and waterfalls.
Crocodile Creek
Crocodile Reek is a 500-foot lazy river. It has a waterfall as well as other fun surprises. Parents can enjoy the lazy river with their kids in a double tube.
Toucan’s Cove
Toucan’s Cove is a centrally located large pool that is attached to Crocodile Creek.
O’Hana Highway Tube Slide
O’Hana Highway Tube Slide is a 500-foot thrilling tube ride. You can ride alone or grab a double tube and ride with a friend or a family member. Parents are encouraged to ride with their children; the minimum height required to ride alone is 48 inches and the minimum height to ride with someone else is 42 inches.
Pineapple Plunge
Thrillseekers will love this attraction! You start at the top, which is 40 feet tall. You get a great view of the whole park from this viewpoint. But then it’s time to shoot down the 135-foot, 45-degree slide! Please note that you need to be at least 48 inches to do this attraction.
Pelican Plunge
Thrillseekers love this fully enclosed, 40 feet-high slide attraction. Its twists and turns make for a great ride down. You’ll need to be at least 48 inches to try this attraction.
Tangerine Twist
The Tangerine Twist is a 35-foot-tall slide you twist through nearly 200 feet of fun before you drop into the plunge pool right below. The minimum height required for Tangerine Twist is 48 inches.
Blue Macaw
Slide along a 200 feet path on this open-air slide. You need to be at least 48 inches to ride the Blue Macaw.
