Six Flags America Christmas

Did you know that Six Flags America theme park in the Washington D.C./Baltimore area has a great Christmas event?  This Christmas event is Holiday in the Park!

Holiday in the Park

Holiday in the Park runs on select dates from November 23, 2019 through January 1, 2020.  My family attended for the first time last weekend and we had a great time!  As usual, we wanted to share it with you so we made this video:

You’ll be able to see highlights from the entire holiday event.  There are different sections throughout the park that have different holiday decorations, shows, characters, and experiences.

North Pole

North Pole was my favorite part of the park!  The Coyote Creek area is transformed into the North Pole.  The holiday lights up here are so colorful and beautiful.  Coyote Creek’s buildings are transformed into holiday-themed buildings that fit with the North Pole theme.  My favorite is the Naughty List Jail, so perfect!  You can get a glimpse for yourself how beautiful the area is in the video.

Attractions in this section include Claus’ Crazy Cars, Reindeer’s Flight and Holiday Round Up.  Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen is a restaurant where you can not only eat indoors but watch a holiday-themed show, Dancing Through the Holidays, too.  North Pole is also where you can meet Santa at Santa’s house!

Merry Masquerade

This was my next favorite section.  It is Christmas with a New Orleans twist!  I just love how perfect all the decorations are here.  The Christmas trees and decor look perfect for New Orleans.  And I love the reindeer playing the saxophone!  You can see what I mean in this video.

Merry Masquerade has a lot of great attractions for you to enjoy:

  • Voodoo Drop
  • Ragin Cajun
  • Big Easy Speedway
  • Bourbon Street Fireball
  • French Quarter Flyers
  • The Wild One
  • Zyedo Zinger

There are also some great holiday drinks here, as you would expect in a New Orleans section!

Main Street Christmas

But I can’t tell you about this without telling you about Main Street Christmas!  The best thing about Main Street Christmas is the Christmas tree.  They have a Christmas tree lighting each night, which we got in the video.  I love how Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck are present for the tree lighting, and how they interact with the kids there.

Main Street Christmas also has great decorations, food, drinks, and shopping.  It’s also where you’ll find the Flying Carousel.  And there’s a great show at the Grand Theatre.  Behold, the Messiah tells the story of the Nativity from the second chapter of Luke through beautiful singing, storytelling, and decorations.  We show you clips from this as well.

Silver Bells

Silver Bells is a really beautiful section.  There’s a 40-foot Silver Bells Tree here that is just gorgeous.  Silver Bells is also where you’ll find Mistletoe Moment.  This is perfect for couples to go to sneak a kiss!

Candy Cane Lane

Candy Cane Lane has such beautiful candy cane themed decoration.  I love the candy cane projections.  Candy Cane Lane is also home to Stunt Arena, where you can catch the show Saving Christmas!  You can see part of Saving Christmas! in our video.

Holiday Magic

Holiday Magic is a section I love because of the show, Holiday Magic Light Show.  You can see that towards the end of the video.  The way the music and lights come together is great.  And I love the way they use the lights to tell a story, like with the dancers dancing.  You can also meet your favorite characters at Holiday Express Meet & Greet here.

Retro Christmas USA

Retro Christmas USA is a great section!  I love the holiday decorations here.  This is also where you can find Cocoa Mixer and Holiday Hoopla.

Silent Night

Silent Night is home to Reflections of the Season, where you can really get in touch with the true meaning of Christmas.  This section is also home to the Carousel and the Great Race.

Snowflake Avenue

Snowflake Avenue is another beautiful section, and that’s where you can enjoy the Firebird Floorless Coaster.

Whimsical Wonderland

Whimsical Wonderland is the reimagined version of the Looney Tunes Movie Town section.  You can still enjoy children’s attractions here like:

  • Looney Tunes Prop Warehouse
  • Sylvester’s Pounce & Bounce
  • Elmer’s Around the World in 80 Seconds
  • Foghorn Leghorn’s Tinsel Town Train
  • The Great Chase
  • Taz’s Film Works
  • Pepe Le Pew’s Tea Party
  • Yosemite Sam’s Hollywood Flight School
