See some of the greatest sights of Australia from the height of the Grampians to the shores by taking the Great Ocean Road tour.

This is a 6-day tour through Adventure Tours Australia where you’ll be staying in unique 4-star accommodations along Victoria’s Great Ocean Road & the Grampians.

Day 1: Melbourne: You’ll start off with Melbourne, where you will stay for the night.  You have the 3 optional activities that day: the Melbourne city sights kayak tour, Multicultural Markets of Melbourne tour & the Made in Melbourne tour.

Day 2: Apollo Bay & Kennett river: You’ll leave Melbourne for Torquay, a town that’s famous for its great beaches.  After morning tea, you’ll head to Memorial Arch, which is a tribute to World War I servicemen who constructed the Great Ocean Road.  Have lunch at Lorne, then you can explore the seaside town or take a swim in the water.  Then you’ll head to Teddy’s Lookout for views of the rugged hills of Australia’s south-eastern coastline, where you can try to spot Koalas near Kennett River.  You’ll finally arrive at Apollo Bay in the late afternoon.  You can then relax at your hotel or head to a local restaurant for some fresh seafood.  Breakfast & dinner is included in the price for this day.

Day 3: The Twelve Apostles & Warnambool: After an early breakfast at a local café, you’ll go to Maits Rest for a guided walk through an Australian rainforest that’s located in the Great Otway National Park.  The you’ll walk along the Great Ocean Road en route to Gibson Steps.  Then you’ll get to one of Australia’s most famous natural wonders – the 12 Apostles.  You have the option here of taking a helicopter ride to take in the natural beauty of the area from a unique perspective.  After the 12 Apostles, you’ll stop by Lach and Gorge so you can see a picturesque natural inlet.  Then you’ll have lunch at Port Campbell, and then do some sightseeing at London Bridge, The Grotto & the Bay of Martyrs.  Next you’ll arrive in Warrnambool where you’ll have dinner with the group before calling it a night.

Day 4: Today you’ll explore the Tyrendarra Indigenous Protected area with a local guide. You’ll take a tour of the volcanic landscapes, which was created by the eruption of Budj Bim (Mount Eccles) around 27,000 years ago.  You’ll discover unique caves, lava tunnels, craters & lakes when you trek through the Australian bushland.

Day 5: You’ll begin the day a hike to The Pinnacle via Devil’s Gap, where you can keep an eye out for koalas, kangaroos and echidnas.  You can take in amazing views of Halls Gap & the Grampians’ peaks from the top of the lookout.  You’ll then have lunch and then continue to The Balconies to see panoramic views of Victoria Valley.  Next up you’ll go to Mackenzie Falls to see amazing natural beauty and after your long day of walking, you’ll settle down the same way a traditional Australian bushman would: you’ll enjoy a bush tucker dinner, which will be cooked by a local chef using native ingredients.

Day 6: After you enjoy breakfast at your hotel, you’ll leave Halls Gap to return to Melbourne, where this tour will end.
