It’s summer in Queensland, and if you’re in Southport or are traveling to Southport then you’ll want a way to cool off from the hot sun. A great place to do that is at GC Aqua Park!
GC Aqua Park is a great inflatable waterpark where you cool off, splash around, and be active. This aquatic playground is full of slides, logs, blasters, and bouncers. The different inflatables are connected by blast bags and runways. You can see if you bounce around the inflatables without falling in the water. But if the day is hot enough, you might find yourself wanting to fall in the water!
There are lifeguard-patrolled sessions to ensure safety. And speaking of safety, life jackets are required for the experience.
This is an experience offered for kids and adults. And while kids can definitely particpate, it is a strenuous course so all guests must have the fitness and stamina to be able to swim in a saltwater tidal environment where depth can change from one meter to three metres.
And while there is no minimum age, all children ages ten and under must be accompanied by an adult, with a ratio of one adult to two children. Also, if you are bringing a kid under the age of ten, you may want to consider the lane closest to the beach as that is typically easier for younger children.
You’ll participate at GC Aqua Park in sessions for fifty or one hundred minutes. You’ll need to arrive at least thirty minutes before your session. That’s when you’ll be fitted for a lifejacket and receive a wristband. That’s also when you can sign the waiver if you have not already done so.
