Looking for a fun time this fall in the Asheville, North Carolina area? Then I think it’s time for you to head to Cold Mountain Corn Maize!
This has been a cherished local tradition in Haywood County. It was started by Skipper Russell, a former tobacco farmer who was finding something else to do after he stopped growing tobacco.
This is a corn maize that has also served another purpose: giving back to local various charities. It has helped support the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s disease, and various floods.
This year was inspired by JJ Singleton, a local man with colon cancer, and the theme is “Man Up To Cancer”.
The Cold Mountain Corn Maize is a tricky maze that can be fun to try to solve with friends and family – or by yourself if you want a real challenge!
After you are done, you can relax on a scenic hayride. It is a great way to enjoy the beautiful fall landscape.
But that’s not all you can do there. You can also pick your own pumpkins! This can be great whether you want to use it for a jack-o-lantern or in cooking!
