Looking for a fun family activity in Kent before the school summer holidays end? Stanhill Farm has a great solution: their summer Maize Maze!
They have an 8-acre Maize Maze that opened back on Saturday 22nd July 2023. It will be running through Saturday 9th September 2023.
And they have a great theme this year. In honor of sixty years of Dr. Who, this year’s theme is Dr. Moo’s Time Travel Adventure Maze. You’ll need to help Dr. Moo get the Time Tractor back to the present day.
So when you get there, pick up a game card and map and try to solve the maze puzzle. In addition to the main Dr. Who maze, they also have a Mini Maze with ten additional game stations. If you fill out your game card correctly, it will be entered into a prize draw.
The Maze will be open on the following days of the week and times:
- Tuesday through Saturday: 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with the last admission at 3:00 PM
- Sundays & Bank Holidays: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the last admission at 2:00 PM
The Maize Maze is at Stanhill Farm on Birchwood Road in Wilmington in Kent.

Please note that since Stanhill Farm is a working farm, there are uneven surfaces. Because of this, the condition of the ground is not always ideal. This means it may not be ideal for pram, buggy or wheelchair, though customers in the past have tried it. For those walking the path, it is advised you wear suitable footwear like trainers or outdoor boots if the conditions are dry and wellington boots if it’s wet since the fields can be muddy.
Speaking of clothing, children are advised to long-sleeved and long-legged clothing to protect them against scratches and stings. And make sure you dress correctly for the weather.
Also, dogs are not allowed anywhere on the farm, including the maze.
