Ten years ago, Downtown Little Rock Partnership was concerned about the vacant buildings on Main Street and the boarded up windows. The Main Street Revitalization Task Force was formed. The Task Force came up with the idea of a festival as a way to bring people back to Main Street and to support the downtown area.
The Main Street Food Truck Festival was one of many great ideas that revitalized Main Street. The festival was a success from the start and has grown bigger each year. It now attracts tens of thousands of attendees from all over the region to downtown Little Rock.
In the last 10 years, numerous businesses have made Main Street their home, including restaurants, a theatre, a dance school and more.
Main Street Food Festival received the Arkansas Alfie Award as the 2018 Festival of the Year. In 2017, it was named an official “Southern Travel Treasure” by AAA Southern Traveler. Online magazine vacationidea.com named it one of the “Top 10 Best Food Truck Festivals in the United States.”
The Main Street Food Truck Festival will be happening in downtown Little Rock on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 11 am to 6 pm. It will be on Main Street from 3rd to 7th Street. Admission is free and it is open to the public. Get your eats on the street! It will have more than 60 food trucks, so everybody can find something they like.
The festival will also feature a beer garden. There will be over 30 arts and merchandise vendors. Local musicians will be providing entertainment throughout the festival. You can also expect to see street performers.
