The Boston JerkFest is back and it’s hotter than ever! This year it is being held at the Harvard Athletic Complex near Harvard Square on July 7 & 8, 2023. Escape to the tropics in the middle of Boston.
This is a Caribbean foodie festival celebrating all things hot. Jerk is the specialty cuisine of Jamaica. It is mouth-burning hot and includes delicious blends of aromatic spices to wake up all your senses. Jerk dishes are usually served with bright tropical flavors, like pineapple, mango and sweet onions to balance out the heat.
The Boston JerkFest will feature the very best local Caribbean Chefs preparing authentic Caribbean jerk style meals, international and local spicy foods and spicy specialty foods. Homemade Caribbean drinks will be available for purchase.
Friday Night Information
The JerkFest will kick off at 5 pm on Friday with the Rum & Brew Tasting for attendees who are 21+. Enjoy tastings of craft beers, wines, hard ciders, artisan beverages and Caribbean-themed libations. Jerk bites from vendors will be available for purchase. Enjoy live music as you sample the beverages.

Saturday & Weekend Information
On Saturday, the Boston JerkFest and the Hot Sauce Fest will begin at 11 am. Top local and regional Caribbean restaurants and caterers will be cooking up jerk inspired creations for attendees to purchase. The JerkFest offers authentic Caribbean local and international spicy food for sale, including spicy meals and Caribbean desserts. Also for sale will be homemade drinks from the Caribbean. Attendees and a panel of judges will have the opportunity to vote for their favorites in the Seafood Throwdown and Jerk Cook Off events.

What once was the JerkFest Spice Lane has been expanded to the Boston Hot Sauce Fest. It offers unique spiced and tropical specialty foods, hot sauces, hot jams, hot jellies, hot candy and jerk inspired spices.
This family friendly outdoor Fest features a Kids & Culture Corner with on site steel drum classes, face painting and arts and crafts. The music stage will feature live bands jamming to soca, reggae, steel drums and more. The place will be jumping with Irie vibes!
The adult hang out will be the Reggae Lounge. There will be games, like dominos, cocktail demos and plenty of adult fun. Saturday’s Reggae Bar will have beer, wine and rum punch for sale.
