It’s hard to believe we’re just about a week away from NHL’s opening night for 2023-2024 season, but here we are!  The New Jersey Devils so far are undefeated in the preseason and this wil surely be a season full of exciting hockey.  That enough is reason to start attending some games.

But if you want another reason, I’ve got one, and that is the fun theme nights the Devils have throughout the year.  And they’ve got another good coming up: Hispanic Heritage Night!

The NJ Devils’ Hispanic Heritage Night takes place on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 7:30 PM, at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.  That was already going to be a fun game because the Devils will be playing their rival, the Washington Capitals.

But now it should be even more fun.  Because there are a lot of cool things in store for the Devil’s Hispanic Heritage Night, sponsored by Hijole!  There will be concourse performances celebrating Hispanic culture.  There will also be in-game features and activations.

And that’s not all that’s in store.  You’ll need to be at the game to see it yourself.  And luckily you can find surprisingly cheap tickets to this game here.

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage in Other Games

Can’t make this game?  Well, there’s no reason you can’t make other games a Hispanic Heritage Night.  You can do it from home.

All you have to do is watch the game.  And then you can order food celebrating Hispanic culture!  This is super convenient on a game night when you just want to watch the game and not bother with cooking.

You can find some great Mexican restaurants that deliver in Newark here.

You could order from La Cocina, a downtown Newark Cuban-American restaurant, hereTaino’s Kitchen is another you can order from, and they serve Puerto Rican and Caribbean food.  There’s also Bocaditos Colombianos if you want some Colombian food or Peru Brothers BBQ if you’re in the mood for Peruvian cuisine.
