The Chinese Lunar Calendar places New Year’s Day at the end of January or the beginning of February. This year Lunar New Year, aka Chinese New Year, falls on January 22, 2023, the date of the second new moon after the winter solstice.

Celebrations will continue for 15 days. This is the Year of the Rabbit. The Rabbit is a symbol of peace, prosperity and longevity in Chinese culture. It is believed that the animal ruling your year of birth influences your personality. People born in the Year of the Rabbit are believed to be courteous, attentive to detail, witty and ingenious.
