The Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle first opened its doors in December, 1924 with a Grand Opening Gala that had all of Seattle talking. Two huge spotlights on the hotel roof swept the sky. A one night stay in a guest room with a bath cost $3.50.

Ninety-eight years later, Seattle is still talking about the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. Now people are talking about the hotel’s New Year festivities and celebrations.

Holiday Tea

Holiday Tea is an annual tradition at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel during the month of December. Seatings will be between 2 pm and 3 pm. Enjoy a Special Feature Menu with traditional sandwiches, scones and pastries in the George restaurant. Enjoy live music and champagne as well as tea.

The George New Year’s Eve

Ring in the New Year with a celebration at the George. Enjoy a curated Prefix Dinner designed by executive chef Eraj Jayawickreme.

Celebrate the New Year with a preset menu at Shuckers in the Fairmont Olympic Hotel.

First Course

  • Sourdough Boule with whipped butter
  • Classic Shuckers Clam Chowder with clams, potatoes and smoked bacon
  • Oysters on the Halfshell with three local oysters and traditional accompaniments

Second Course

  • Dungeness Crab Cakes with tender greens, orange vinaigrette and tartar sauce

Entrees – Choice of

  • Local Catch with creamy polenta, grilled broccolini, sauce verge and lemon butter sauce
  • Crispy Gnudi with sauteed mushrooms, pesto, spinach and cherry tomato
  • Seared Beef Tenderloin with leek and potato hash, roasted carrots and wine sauce +$10

Sweet Finish

  • Black & Blue Pie with sour cream ice cream

Pricing is $100 per person.

Olympic Bar

On New Year’s Eve, reserve a semi-private table which includes two specialty cocktails, a midnight Moet Champagne toast and complimentary charcuterie. This celebration will include live performances by Maison De V show girls, an exclusive space to dance the night away. DJ performances by DJ Pretty Please and a roped off balloon drop.

Garden Room

Experience a Generational Garden Room New Year Day Celebration. This includes live music, ice sculptures and seafood bar, meat carving station, a unique brunch buffet, a kids buffet and a bloody Mary, mimosa and pressed juice bar. Start off 2023 with a bang!
