Film on the Rocks 2020 Drive-In

Denver Film’s Film of the Rocks series is back in 2020.  Which is great.  Because going to Red Rocks for entertainment has been a summer tradition for 20 years now in the Denver area.  But like everything this year, it is a bit different.  Because it will be a drive-in movie this year!

Yes, this year, you get to see great movies, drive-in style, at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado.  You can get a ticket for your vehicle.  You can bring as many people as your vehicle can safely seat (please note RV’s, buses, limousines, mopeds, motorcycles, scooters, and any hitched trailers are not allowed).  And your ticket includes movie snacks that you will get once your car arrives.

These snacks include:

  • A bag of CityPop Popcorn,
  • Theatre size box of plain M&M’s
  • 7oz Twizzlers
  • 2 20oz Coke products (you can choose between Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, or Dasani water, upon availability

You can also buy with contactless payments:

  • Chick-Fil-A sandwiches
  • Cookies
  • Chip
  • Drinks

Once you get there, your vehicles will be guided to parking spots by event staff.  Please note you could directed to certain areas of the parking lot based on your vehicle’s size to ensure an optimal viewing experience for all guests.

Your vehicles will be spaced every other parking spot or will be spaced at least six feet apart.  You’ll need to dim your headlights before you pull into the theater.  Once the film starts, you must turn your lights (head, tail & interior) off.

During the event, you will need to stay inside your vehicle except to purchase concessions or use the restrooms.  When you do go outside your vehicle to get confessions or use the restroom, you will need to wear a mask and be respectful of other people’s space.
