There may be nothing quite as beautiful as handcrafted Chinese Lanterns. And you will able to see Chinese lanterns at the Festival of Lanterns in Las Vegas!
The Festival of Lantern takes place at Cowabunga Bay water park in Henderson, Nevada near Las Vegas. The water park will be into a magical wonderland. A team of 25 artisans sculpted, assembled, and illuminated these wonderful pieces of art. You are definitely going to want to see what they have assembled.
The Festival of Lanterns changes depending on the time of year.
Fall Harvest
The Fall Harvest takes place from November 5, 2021, through November 30, 2021. You’ll see autumn decor throughout the park. There are family fun activities like a petting zoo, and a hay maze.
A farmer’s market will be part of the festival. There’s also really delicious food and drinks for sale, as they’ve got a great Fall Harvest Menu with seasonal specialties. This includes:
- Tangy Thanksgiving Margaritas
- Roasted turkey legs
- Grilled corn on the cob
- Turkey cranberry sliders on a sweet Hawaiian roll
- Funnel cakes drizzled with spiced pumpkin maple syrup
- Homemade tomato basil soup with specialty grilled cheese
And of course, there are giant fall-themed lanterns that light up the night.
Holiday Season
The Holiday Season runs from December 1, 2021, through December 31, 2021. That is when you see Christmas Lanterns. You can see a Candyland and Santa Claus. Speaking of Santa Claus, you can get your picture with Santa (it’s included in the price of admission). You can also take great pictures in front of the 20-foot tall Christmas tree. Carolers will be onsite singing some of your favorite holiday songs.
And the holiday menu is great, too. It includes:
- Chicken with cranberry BBQ sauce
- Christmas Citrus drink
- Festive Mojito
- Gingerbread funnel cake with cream cheese drizzle
- Peppermint brownie truffle
- Monte Cristo sandwiches
- French bread pizza
Lunar New Year
The Lunar New Year celebration takes place from January 1, 2022, through February 13, 2022. You can enjoy a Chinese wonderland full of Asian folklore and traditional cuisine. The fountains of sparkles is really special. But perhaps the best is the 45-foot-long dragon king emerging from Cowabunga Bay’s wave pool.
