  • Sunday, June 4, 2023, from 12 pm to 6 pm

The Pagdiriwang Philippine Festival has been held at the Seattle Center since 1987. It is now the largest festival of Filipino arts and culture in the Pacific Northwest. It provides a venue for both Filipinos and non-Filipinos to learn about the Philippine culture. Art, songs, music, dance, crafts, history, martial arts and literature are used to promote better understanding.

Filipiniana Multicultural Dance Troupe (FMDT) will be performing at the festival. The troupe is made up of Filipino Americans from the greater Tacoma area. They will be performing cultural dances and native songs that depict the story of Philippine history and culture.

Filipino martial arts consist of a unique form of stick fighting which is called “arnis.” It has been most famously performed by Bruce Lee. You can see demonstrations of this at the festival.

Grayseas Pies is a handmade pie pop up business and will have pies at the festival. Gracie Santos makes each pie with love. She incorporates her Filipino American heritage in her business as she includes filipinx flavors in her pie making.

If you’d like to attend the festival and want to look the part, you can wear lovely Filipino clothing. You don’t have any? You can remedy that with the Filipino apparel here.
