Glittering Lights at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway
Get into the holiday spirit a little differently this year. Glittering Lights features 2.5 miles of over 3 million lights. You’ll take a course around the speedway seeing over 500 animated displays and light tunnels. Enjoy good old fashioned Christmas fun from the warmth of your car. This is perfect for all ages and generations.
CNN Travel, Huffington Post, USA Today, and more have named Glittering Lights to their Best Of Lights lists. It is Nevada’s favorite Christmas attraction.
This attraction is completely drive-through, too. If you get hungry, then when you drive past the concession area, give your order to a Boy Scout. Items like hot cocoa, kettle & butter popcorn, and water are available for purchase. Concession earnings, by the way, are donated to Southern Nevada area Boy Scout troops.

Event Hours
Glittering Lights runs from Friday, November 8, 2024, through Sunday, January 5, 2025. It starts when the sun goes down since obviously the lights will be more spectacular after it turns dark.
Going in November and early December is best as the lines are the shortest then. There are also gift bags handed out to the first 15,000 cars who attend the Glittering Lights even. But in the years past, they are handed out by December 4th, so even more reason to go in November.
The hours it is open depends on when you go. Here are the hours:
- Sunday through Thursday from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM
- Friday, Saturday & Holidays: 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM
