Looking for a fun Halloween event in Boise, Idaho?  Then check out our list of some great events going on around Boise that should get you in the Halloween spirit!

1. Boise Official Halloween Bar Crawl

Instead of going from house to house looking for candy this year, how about going from bar to bar looking for drinks?  This is something you can do on the official Halloween Bar Crawl of 2022.  It takes place on Monday, Oct 31, 2022.  You get admission into top Boise bars and get drink specials as well.  And you can get a free ticket to this event by clicking here!

2. Boise Happy Hour Halloweekend Bar Crawl

The Boise Happy Hour Halloweekend Bar Crawl involves drink specials, a costume contest, a live DJ, and more.  It takes place on October 21st, October 29th, and October 31st.  You can get a free ticket to this event by clicking here.

3. Boise Halloweekend Hangover Bar Crawl

One other Boise Halloween bar crawl you can try is the Boise Halloweekend Hangover Bar Crawl.  It takes place on Saturday, October 29, 2022.  You can click here to book a ticket to this event and then your admission is free!

4. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow

Washington Irving’s famous short story, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”, is a spooky tale that is perfect for Halloween.  And you can see it live with The Legend of Sleepy Hollow theatrical event.  It takes place at Danny Peterson Theatre at the Morrison Center in Boise.  You can see a nightly show at 7:30 PM on October 14-15, 20-22, and 27-28.  You can also see an afternoon showing at 2:00 PM on October 16, 28, and 29.

5. Riverside Hotel Halloween Ball

Looking for a fun Halloween event for adults?  Check out the Riverside Hotel Halloween Ball.  It takes place on Sunday, October 30, 2022, from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the Riverside Grill at the Riverside Hotel.  You can enjoy dancing and music.  In fact, you’ll enjoy a concert by The Fabulous Chancellors.  They’ll perform original songs and a wide range of classic Rock “n” Roll hits.  Halloween costumes are encouraged.  This is an adult-only (ages 21 years old and older) party with no-host bar service available.

6. Boo and Brews

Boo and Brews is another adult event.  It takes place at Zoo Boise on October 21, 2022 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.  You get to enjoy limited access to the zoo and fun zoo experiences, like the African Wild Dog zipline feeding.  But you get to do all this while sampling beer, wine, and cider from local breweries.

There’s also a special food menu available and music.  You are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes and prizes will be given out.  It should be a fun event.

7. Halloween Classic XXIX

The NAPA Auto Parts Halloween Classic XXIX presented by Mirage Trailers is one of the most popular races at Firebird Raceway all year.  It runs from October 5th through October 9th, 2022.  They’ll have racing for competitors in Super Pro, Pro, Heavy, Sportsman, and Sled/Bike.

Saturday, October 8th, 2022, though, is the best day to attend if you are looking for fun fall activities.  That’s when there are games for children, a children’s and an adult costume contest, pumpkin carving, a coloring contest, and trick or treating from trailer to trailer in the pit area.  You can learn more about this event here.

8. Monster Mash Family Halloween Party

If you are looking for a kid-friendly Halloween event, then the perfect place to go is the Children’s Museum of Idaho in Meridian.  They have a Monster Mash Family Halloween Party on Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  They’ve got fun Halloween activities that are fun for adults and kids, like games, crafts, and Halloween treats.  Click here to purchase a ticket.

9. Franz Witte’s Halloween Festival

Enjoy a Halloween festival on October 8th through October 9th at Franz Witte in nearby Nampa, Idaho.  They’ve got food, pumpkins, workshops, Halloween home decor, and other fun fall activities.  This is a totally free event!  Click here for more information.

10. Wacky Wonders Halloween Costuming Class

Have you ever wanted to make your own Halloween costume?  Or do you want to make your child’s Halloween costume?  Well, wonder no more and start learning!  JUMP Boise is offering free drop-in Halloween costume classes this fall.  They take place on Thursday nights from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM starting September 29th, 2022.  The last class is on October 20th, 2022.  You learn how to make your own costume with easy-to-find-materials, like plastic cups, cardboard boxes, fabric, gems, features, etc.  You can find out more information here.

11. Zombie Scavenger Hunt

When I think of Halloween, I think of spooky creatures like zombies.  So how about taking a scavenger hunt of Boise by Zombie Scavengers?  You’ll find items needed for a zombie apocalypse, complete zombie-themed tasks, and try to earn points needed to survive the apocalypse.  Click here to book a Boise Zombie Scavenger Hunt.

12. Halloween Art Party

There’s a Halloween Art Party at Sardine Studios in Boise, Idaho on Sunday October 30, 2022.

From 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM, there is finger painting and other Halloween art, with all art supplies provided.

From 6:30 to 6:50 PM, all of the children (ages 12 years old and under) line up for a Halloween costume contest.  The winner gets a custom framed mystery Halloween print made by Sardine Studios and a framed best costume award signed by Sardine Studios.

They’ll also be giving out small bags of candy and Halloween toys at the event.

It costs $5 per person, and you pay at the door.  Children ages 2 years old and younger are free.  Children ages 12 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult.

13. Sugar Skull! A Dia de los Muertos Musical Adventure

The Halloween season means it’s also time to celebrate the popular Mexican holiday, Dia de los Muertos.  And if you’d like to introduce your child to this holiday, this is a great event to take your kid to.  It’s a a touring bilingual/bicultural musical that uses traditional regional music and dance from Mexico to tell the story of how twelve-year-old Vita Flores learned the true meaning of Dia de los Muertos.

14. Watson’s Cabaret: Halloween

And now back to something that is only for adults ages 18 years old and up.  Watson’s Cabaret: Halloween is a Halloween-themed burlesque show at Watson’s Mystery Cafe and Spirits in Boise, Idaho.  This show is a great way to see some incredible Boise performers including aerialists and dancers.  During the show, you can enjoy brunch options and drinks from our kitchen.  There’s a full bar there, too.  You can learn more about it here.

15. Camp River Run

And finally, here is an event that also supports a good cause.  Camp River Run is a 4-day camp in the summer for children ages 7 years old to 17 years old who are coping with medical conditions or life-threatening illnesses.  It is a way for them to experience nature and camping without compromising their medical needs, and to have a fun “normal” children’s experience.

Well, Camp River Run is hosting a free Halloween Bash.  It takes place at Holland & Hart at 800 West Main Street Ste 1750 on Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.  Costumes are encouraged!

From 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM is a family-friendly event with indoor trunk-or-treating and carnival games.  It is a great time to chat with camp staff, volunteers, and camp families and campers.

At 7:00 PM the children should be taken home, and then the adults can continue their Halloween fun with cocktails, games, and contests (for an extra charge).
