Father’s Day is rapidly approaching, so it is time to start planning what special thing you have planned for dad this weekend. And if you are looking for a Father’s Day-themed brunch in San Diego to celebrate the occasion, then boy are you in luck. Because there are a lot of great San Diego Father’s Day brunches. They are great no matter what your dad’s interests are. We go over some of the best.
1. Marvel Comics Fathers’ Day Brunch
Is your dad or the dad in your life a fan of Marvel comics or the Marvel cinematic universe (MCU)? First of all, consider getting them a Father’s Day gift from this list.
But secondly, they will love the Marvel Comics Father’s Day Brunch! It takes place at Mic Drop Comedy, but it is family-friendly for ages nine years old and up. This MARVEL-ous brunch has breakfast, coffee, stand-up comedy, and trivia. Should be a fun time.
And there is a great coupon for the San Diego Marvel Comics Father’s Day Brunch here. You’ll save $5 on each ticket!
2. Brunch Cruise
Does the dad in your life like being on the water? Then perhaps a brunch cruise would be a great option! You can purchase a ticket to a Father’s Day Brunch Cruise here, but please note this is likely to sell out.
One way around that, though, would be to take a brunch cruise the day before Father’s Day. It would still be Father’s Day weekend, and there is some more availability then. And if you buy a ticket for this San Diego Brunch Cruise, you can get it at a discounted price, too.
3. Oceana Coastal Kitchen Brunch
Does the dad in your life love the beach? Well, you can enjoy beachfront dining at Oceana Coastal Kitchen with great views of Mission Bay. Their Sunday Champagne Brunch is a three-course menu with mimosas (you can also opt for the à la carte menu). You can call (858) 539-8635 for reservations.
Oceana Coastal Kitchen is located at the Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa. This is a wonderful, Polynesian-themed luxury resort that is steps from Pacific Beach. Highlights of the resort include the only beachfront spa in San Diego, lush tropical gardens, a private beach, and rooms with a private balcony. Staying here for a staycation could make Father’s Day even better.
4. Claim Jumper Father’s Day Brunch Buffet
The special dad in your life like old westerns? Claim Jumper over in La Mesa is a fun, Western-themed restaurant that is a favorite of my family. Claim Jumper is a Landry Restaurant, and we talk about how to save money on Landry’s restaurants here.
They’ll be holding their signature Brunch Buffet from 10:00 Am to 3:00 PM. This buffet includes Claim Jumper classic, traditional breakfast fare, an omelet bar, a carving station, south-of-the-border specialties, pizza, pasta, American fare, homemade desserts, and more.
It costs $45 for adults and $19.50 for children ages twelve and younger. Those ages 21 and up can add on bottomless mimosas for $17.
You can make a reservation here.
5. Madam Bonnie’s Father’s Day Brunch Buffet
The special dad in your life like the roaring 20s era? Well, Madam Bonnie’s in the Gaslamp Quarter is a fun and historic place. The former location of the Lester Hotel was built in 1905 and is a registered haunted site. Madam Bonnie’s plays homage to Gatsby-era design. They have velvet booths, swinging crystal chandeliers, and the longest continuous bar in Gaslamp.
And this Father’s Day, they are having a Father’s Day Brunch Buffet.
This all-you-can-eat-buffet starts at $45 per guest (though guests ages ten and under eat for free!). You can add on $15 to get bottomless mimosas. The buffet includes great food and options like Prime Rib, Cured Meat & Cheese, Bacon, Egg dishes, French Toast, Bacon, Apple Sausage, Roasted Potatoes, Panzanella Salad, Various Appetizers, Desserts, Pastries, and a Rotisserie Chicken Carving Station. They also have a jazz duo, the Sounds of Brazil, playing from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
You can book a reservation here.
