Are you looking for a fun way to celebrate the holiday season? And that is at Duke’s Very Merry Village! This event takes place at Castle Park theme in Riverside, California. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season because there are a lot of great things going on at the event. I want to tell you about some of them. And then I will tell you how you can save money on your ticket.
Duke’s Holiday Wish
This year, there is an all-new live musical show over at the Big Top. The plot involves a child named Alex with a holiday wish that becomes an exciting North Pole adventure. Duke the Dragon and Captain Tall Tale will join Alex as Alex gets to visit Santa’s workshop and meet Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. You’ll enjoy popular holiday music during the show. The show even ends with indoor snow!
Holiday Lane
The Antique Cars ride has been reimagined for the holiday season! Seasonal animatronics and all-new light displays gives this cherished ride a whole new flavor. You’ll have a lot of fun on this ride. Oh, and keep your eyes out for the Rat King from the Nutcracker, who’s been having fun with Holiday Lane. Figure out what he’s done!
Snow & Light Show
In front of the Plaza Café at 5:30 PM on Saturdays and Sundays is a Snow & Light Show set to some of your favorite holiday music. This year features new music, new lighting effects, and even more snow.
Brunch with Duke, Santa & Friends
Saturdays and Sundays a 11:00 AM in the Big Top from November 25th to December 23rd is a special buffet breakfast. And that is the holiday brunch with Duke, Santa, and friends! You’ll get to meet Duke, Santa & other special friends which makes for wonderful photo opportunities. In addition to that and the brunch, there are also special arts and crafts activities as well as a holiday sing-a-long.
This does cost extra, and in addition you’ll need a park ticket (more on how to save on that later).
Festive Holiday Treats
Enjoy the deliciousness of the holiday season with a Duke’s Holiday Snack Box! You get to choose a box depending on your tastes or mood. Looking for something sweet? Then go with a Sweet Treats box which includes a deep-fried cinnamon sugar pretzel, a deep-fried Oreo with peppermint, and a marshmallow snowman pop. Or you could go with the savory box and get bacon cheddar tots, a pork slider, and mac ‘n cheese with Buffalo chicken.
Scavenger Hunts
Remember the evil Rat King from Holiday Lane? Well, he’s also stolen six giant presents and hidden them all around Castle Park. Grab a scavenger hunt card from the Royal Tent and see if you can find them all. You can win a different prize each week! It takes place on Saturdays and Sundays.
Noon Year’s Eve Party
It turns out you won’t have to wait until midnight to celebrate New Year’s Eve this year. Because Castle Park is having a Noon Year’s Eve Party that opens at 12:15 PM at the Big Top. There will be a Dance Party with Duke starting at 12:30 PM. The countdown to the ball drop starts at 1:00 PM, and then there’s a laser and light show. Other activities at the event include arts and crafts.
