One of the best parts of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World is being able to go trick or treating. This is an activity all ages can enjoy, from kids to adults. There are a total of 17 trick or treating locations throughout Magic Kingdom during the event. But what if you don’t have time to hit them all?

Not to worry! Today, I want to share with you the three best trick-or-treat locations at MNSSHP. Now, this is not based on the type of candy you get (which is fairly similar at each place). It’s not based on the amount of candy given out, either – that can vary depending on the cast member. Instead, these are the top three trick or treat experiences you can enjoy.

Note: The following does include spoilers. If you want to visit all the trick or treat locations without knowing what might happen or who you might encounter, then do not keep reading. But if you’d like to know what to expect and what is not to be missed, then read ahead!

#3 Princess Fairytale Hall

Since it’s a Halloween party, it’s pretty fitting you’ll find villains instead of Disney princesses at Princess Fairytale Hall, don’t you think?

When we visited, we saw Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty and the Evil Queen from Snow White. They were on either side of the hall as we walked by, and the candy was distributed at the end of the hall.

You can find Princess Fairytale Hall in Fantasyland, located near Cinderella Castle and next to The Friar’s Nook restaurant.

#2 The Diamond Horseshoe

The Hitchhiking Ghosts at the Diamond Horseshoe trick or treat location during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at WDWLooks like the Hitchhiking Ghosts have hitched a ride to a new location in the park!

Fans of the Haunted Mansion ride at Magic Kingdom will be thrilled to see those three iconic ghosts on stage at the Diamond Horseshoe. Their interactions with each other and with guests are so much fun!

The Diamond Horseshoe is located in Liberty Square. It’s located close to the Liberty Tree Tavern – in fact, both restaurants share a menu during the day.

#1 Mickey’s PhilharMagic

Donald Duck in a jack-o'-lantern costume at Mickey's PhilharMagic during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow playing on screen at Mickey's PhilharMagic during the Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney WorldFor me, Mickey’s PhilharMagic is the best trick or treating location because it has a couple of things going for it (in addition to the candy, of course!).

First of all, when we were in the queueing area of the attraction, we were entertained by none other than Donald Duck! And to top that, he was wearing an adorable jack-o’-lantern Halloween costume. He even interacted with guests walking by and would sometimes react to the guests’ costumes.

Next, we got our candy from the trick or treating itself, which is of course no small thing.

But then, we were able to sit in the seats at Mickey’s PhilharMagic and watch some Halloween-themed entertainment! You see, during the Halloween party, instead of showing the normal Mickey’s PhilharMagic film, the attraction instead runs Disney Halloween cartoons on a loop. This year, we watched a cute Halloween-themed Mickey cartoon. In the past, we’ve also seen The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, part of the Disney film The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.

It was quite humid during our Halloween Party earlier this month, so this was a great opportunity to enjoy the air conditioning. It’s also an excellent way to rest your feet after trick or treating all over the park! And of course, if you get hungry, you can sample some of the candy in your trick or treat bag – or start sorting through your favorites.

Mickey’s PhilharMagic is conveniently located near Princess Fairytale Hall (#3 on the list). If you’re facing Princess Fairytale Hall and the Castle, walk to the right (past the Castle) and you’ll be at Mickey’s PhilharMagic.

Honorable Mention: Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor

Monsters Inc Laugh Floor trick or treating location during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at Disney WorldDuring the day, the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor is a clever show, during which characters from the Monsters, Inc franchise interact with the audience. And at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, you’ll have the opportunity to see some special Halloween-themed interaction.

If you enjoy the attraction during the day, you should definitely take at least a few minutes to see the Halloween twist at the party. You can also take advantage of the seats in the theater, like with Mickey’s PhilharMagic.

But if you’re like me and worry about being one of the audience members singled out, you probably won’t want to stick around for too long!

Monsters Inc Laugh Floor is located in Tomorrowland, in the same complex as Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin (but closer to Main Street/the Castle/the middle of the park than the Buzz Lightyear ride).
