Magic Screams at Magic Springs theme park in Hot Springs, Arkansas is a Halloween event with kid-friendly fun in the afternoon & spooks at night. Use a coupon & save 41% on admission.
Magic Screams takes place over six weekends from September 26th through November 1st, 2026. Let me tell you about the afternoon part for kids and then the nighttime scarier part of the event.
Booville
Magic Screams afternoons are full of family-friendly fun (and no scary, roaming characters!). You can enjoy this fun at Booville, the Kiddieland activity area. It takes place from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Some of the fun activities taking place at Booville include:
- Trick-or-treating
- Hay maze (This starts at 3:00 PM)
- Potions & Paints children’s art station
- Kids’ Halloween costume contests (This starts at 3:30 PM)
- Family photo opportunities (This starts at 3:00 PM)
- Children’s rides (most of them are open)
Costumes are allowed for guests, though with a few restrictions:
- Masks or costumes that cover the entire face are not permitted for any guest ages 13 years old or older
- Some items of a costume (such as a cape) may not be allowed on certain rides for safety purposes
- Make sure your costumes are family-friendly
On October 10th and 11th only, three witchy sisters will be in attendance! They will perform a song before the costume contest at 3:30 PM. They will be at the park from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Frights By Night
At night, guests can enjoy a haunted house and several scare zones. Roaming, creepy characters are located throughout the park. You could see a zombie, a deranged doll, a pirate, etc. This is definitely an event for older children, teens, and adults and not for young kids.
A few of the scary attractions include:
- Wasteland Haunted House & Maze: This is the most intense attraction at Magic Screams. It features maniacal medical experiments and military missions gone wrong.
- Slash Island: Zombie Takeover: Zombies have taken over the waterpark! Watch as zombies emerge from the shadows.
