If you are planning a trip to Oahu in Hawaii, then I’m sure there are a lot of attractions around Oahu & Honolulu that you would like to enjoy. Of course, as I’m sure you’re aware, a trip to Hawaii can get expensive, so a great way to cut down on your expenses during your Hawaiian vacation would be to buy an Oahu attractions pass. By purchasing one of these passes, you can enjoy multiple Hawaii attractions all for one low price. So today, I want to do a comparison of the Oahu Explorer Pass & the Oahu All-Inclusive Pass to help you choose which pass to purchase.
Both the Oahu Explorer Pass and All-Inclusive Pass are passes available through the Go City Pass. So they include (mostly) the exact same attractions:
- Polynesian Cultural Center
- Makani Catamaran Sail
- Kualoa Secret Island Beach (Half-Day)
- Oahu Circle Island Tour with Byodo In Temple
- Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum at Pearl Harbor
- Waikiki Turtle Canyon Snorkel Cruise
- Wet‘n’Wild Hawaii Waterpark
- Battleship Missouri Memorial at Pearl Harbor
- Sea Life Park Hawaii
- Waimea Valley
- Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum
- Diamond Head Shuttle & Hike
- Kualoa Grown Tour
- USS Arizona Pearl Harbor Captain’s Narrated Multimedia Tour
- Waikiki Whale Watching Tour (Nov-April)
- Pearl Harbor and Honolulu City Tour
- Grand Tour around Oahu with Snorkeling
- 3h Kayak or Stand Up Paddle Board Rental
- Waikiki: Sunset Beach Yoga
- Bishop Museum Honolulu
- Hawaiian Lei Making on Sunset Beach
- Coral Crater: Adventure Course
- Iolani Palace
- Ocean Voyage Adventure Kualoa Ranch Tour
- Hawaiian Style Rentals: Moped Rental
- Makapuu Lighthouse & Halona Blowhole Tour
- Kona Brewing Hawaii Kai Tasting Flight
- Waikiki Surfboard Rental
- Coconut Palm Basket Weaving
- Hawaiian Style Rentals: Bike Rentals
- SUP Morning Yoga
- Beer Bike Tour in Kaka’ako
- Fire Dance Workshop
- Shaka Guide: Driving and Walking Audio Tours
- Hula Class on the North Shore
- North Shore Soap Factory
- Queen Emma Summer Palace
- Stand-Up Paddleboard Nature and Turtle Tour
- Hawaiian Cultural Experience: Aina Tour & Kava Drink
- Marriott North Shore: Boogie Board Rental
But the real distinction between the two passes is how you can use them. How many of these attractions you can do depends on which pass you buy.
Oahu Explorer Pass
The Oahu Explorer Pass if you only have a couple of must-see attractions. You pay per attraction.
You can choose between
- 3 attractions
- 4 attractions
- 5 attractions
- 6 attractions
- 7 attractions
The Oahu Explorer Pass is the cheaper of the two options because you only pay for a few attractions rather than get access to a bunch of attractions.
This also works well if you don’t think you’ll have the time on your trip to do multiple attractions. After all, that could get it in the way of you just relaxing on the beach.
Oahu All-Inclusive Pass
The Oahu All-Inclusive Pass is your best option if you want to see everything during your time in Hawaii. You pay per day versus per attraction.
You can choose between
- 2-day pass
- 3-day pass
- 4-day pass
- 5-day pass
- 7-day pass
You also get admission to two luaus that are not included in the Oahu Explorer Pass:
- Ka Moana Luau at Aloha Tower
- Aloha Kai Luau at Sea Life Park
There are no luaus included in the Oahu Explorer Pass, so that is a big advantage of the Oahu All-Inclusive Pass. I know luaus are one of the most popular Hawaiian attractions for a lot of our readers.
Which Pass Should You Choose?
Choose the Oahu Explorer Pass if:
- You only have a few attractions you really want to do/have the time to do
- You want the cheaper option
Choose the Oahu All-Inclusive Pass if:
- You want to do multiple attractions during your time in Hawaii
- You want to do a luau
