My family loves visiting the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee any time of the year. It is such a beautiful hotel with such a great location. And how many hotels have a duck march?
But the first time my family visited in December, we realized we had stumbled upon something truly special. Here we thought that the Peabody Hotel could not get any more beautiful. And then we saw the hotel with Christmas decorations.
First of all, I have to start with the Christmas tree in the Peabody’s lobby. It is one of the most beautiful Christmas trees I have ever seen.
And the lights on the Christmas tree are so beautiful. And speaking of the lights…
Tree Lighting Ceremony
The season officially begins with the Tree Lighting Ceremony. It takes place directly after the duck march. This is only open to hotel guests, so you might want to get on that booking.
And it should be a great ceremony. After all, Santa Claus himself will be there! He’s going to be the one to light the Peabody Christmas Tree. Afterward, you can enjoy a meet and greet with Santa. He’ll talk to kids about their wish lists, too, so you might want to listen in on that!
Gingerbread House
Another reason I love visiting the Peabody Hotel is for its gingerbread house! It is an amazing piece of art designed by their chefs. They spend hundreds of hours on it, and the result is amazing!
Christmas Brunch
Peabody’s has a great Christmas brunch in the Grand Ballroom. They serve a lavish meal with beloved holiday entrees, side dishes, and desserts.
This year, it takes place on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM. It costs $103 per adult and $36 per child (for those children who are ages 5 to 12).
