Have you been to the GLOW Holiday Festival yet this year? If not, don’t worry! This event may have started on November 18, 2021. But it runs through January 2, 2022.
And you will definitely want to check this winter festival out. It is Minnesota’s newest holiday tradition, and it has gotten quite popular. Tickets are selling out quickly.
So we’ll try to quickly tell you what it is. And then we will tell you how you can get a discounted ticket. And you’re going to want to buy it quickly before it sells out!
So what is GLOW Holiday Festival? Well, it is a festival that takes place at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. This is in Falcon Heights, a suburb of St. Paul so it is convenient to St. Paul, Minneapolis, and the whole Twin Cities area.
And it is a festival that features over a million holiday lights. And it’s got so many other attractions, too.
The Minnesota State Fair’s massive 4-H building is turned into a festive display with the help of state-of-the-art LED projections.
The GLOW Palace is a three-story palace with beautiful lights & lit crystals.
Santa is always a staple at a holiday festival, right? Well, you can see him in a unique way at the 20-foot original display from the 1960’s-era Dayton’s Nicollet Mall store.
Santa’s Workshop will be open until 10:00 PM on weekdays and 11:00 PM on weekends.

The Home Depot Slide
Another place to get great views is at the top of the Home Depot Slide, which is a fun tube ride down a hill.
Ever wanted to control the light show at a Christmas festival? You can do so with their interactive tree powered by very unique bikes.
The Gingerbread House is a high-energy light show with a twist to classic, popular holiday songs.
This is an interactive display where lights feel as if they rain on you from above.
See glimmering and shimmering polar bears, icicles, and penguins in the Arctic Circle display.
Thousands of beautiful flower bulbs seemingly dance to the sound of music in this elegant show.
The Enchanted Forest is GLOW Holiday Festival’s mystical, magical land of elves and glowing trees.
Make your way through a beautiful holiday maze.
Charity Flame & Art Park
Charity Flame is a way for the GLOW Holiday Festival to honor wonderful local charities. You can also go here to see beautiful light sculptures created by local Minnesota area artists.
A huge LED screen will show holiday hit music videos. You’ll get to see stars from the past as well as current stars.
Glitter Critters is where you can see larger than life lit woodland creatures.
The sELFie Plaza, as the name would imply, is the best place at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds to get a wonderful holiday selfie.
State Fair Food Court & Beverages
There are also a lot of good foods and drinks for sale at this festival.
