Magical Forest History
Magical Forest at Opportunity Village’s West Oakey Campus in Las Vegas began as a holiday event to thank donors and contributors. Now, it has become one of the premier holiday events in Southern Nevada! It is celebrating its 32nd season in 2024.

Santa
What is a holiday event without Santa Claus? You can visit with Santa during the Magical Forest event. It costs extra to have photos with Santa, but the good news there is that all proceeds benefit Opportunity Village!
Holiday Lights
Millions of sparkling lights bring Opportunity Village to life at this event.
Forest Express Passenger Train
This is quite possibly the most iconic of the attractions at the Magical Forest. It is a wonderful way to see all the beautiful holiday lights. Please note that guests under 42″ tall will need to ride with a guardian.
Avalanche Slide
They’ve got a snow-covered mountain that is 50 feet tall. Hop in a sack and decline down the mountain…if you are brave enough!
Cheyenne’s Enchanted Carousel
This timeless carousel, enhanced by LED lighting, is a great attraction for guests of all ages. Guests under 42″ tall, however, will need to ride with a guardian.
Food
There are lots of great food and drink options at the event. Step inside Camelot Hall to get some specialty items. Or get some carnival-style eats outdoors.
Then there’s the Cookie Cabin, where, well the name gives away how popular that will be. It sells their famous Dessie’s Table Cookies.
Speaking of names that give away how popular it is going to be, there is also a Magical Forest Beer Garden available each night. Guests over 21 years old can enjoy alcoholic beverages there.
Gift Shops
Want a souvenir from the event? Looking for another Christmas decoration? Or want to do a bit of holiday shopping? You can get all that covered at Holiday Shoppe. It’s got décor, Logo merchandise, and more. There’s also a Neon kiosk where you can get light-up toys.
Midway Games
Kids and adults can enjoy playing against their family members and friends here. They have a lot of classic midway games like duck pond, ring toss, ball in the bucket, and goblet toss. Each game is $5.
Rod’s Mini Golf
This one-of-a-kind, family-friendly, 8-hole miniature golf course is themed for Christmas! Try to see if you can get a hole-in-one, and try not to let Santa or his elves distract you in the process.
