The animals at the San Antonio Zoo may go to sleep at night. But that doesn’t mean that there isn’t a great reason to visit the San Antonio Zoo at night. And that reason is the San Antonio Zoo Lights.
Zoo Lights, powered by CPS Energy, are back at the San Antonio Zoo. And this year the Christmas lights are bigger and brighter than ever.
There are 32-foot LED trees. There are beautiful creations made of Christmas lights. One of those is a 15-foot tall illuminated giraffe!
There are themed areas around the zoo, of course with beautiful Christmas lights in each section.
Some of these themed areas include:
- Holiday Plaza
- Starry Safari
- Fa La La Flamingo
- Cowboy’s Peppermint Path
- North Pole
- Camel Trek
An exciting new area is the Winter Wonderland area. You can go under the sea so to speak when you see beautiful sea creatures made of holiday lights, like the light-up jellfyish.
There are a lot of fun activities at this event, too. One of those is the Holiday Sing-A-Long Express Train Ride! You can also sleigh through a 124-foot light tunnel or dance at the Lakeside Light Show.
Great Christmas and Latin music will be playing throughout the event. And you can get great holiday treats and drinks, like hot cocoa.
And did I mention that you can meet and ride a camel?
The Zoo Lights run from November 19 to January 1, 2023. This is definitely an event you and your family will not want to miss!
